Cathkin Cottage B&B"We were disappointed with the general service in Champagne Valley. As it was a New Year weekend and the area was full it was frustrating to find places closed. I can't understand how business is lost at this time. We ate lunch at a restaurant and food was awful and not fresh. We were told we could go to the Drakensburg Sun Hotel on old year's eve. We were treated so badly by the secuirty at the gate who asked us "What are you doing here?" in such a rude manner. We left but felt that it was not necessary for them to treat us in this way. This area needs to look at how they are dealing with tourists in the future."
"Great MTB trail at the Olde Duck. Great Super Spar in town. Although the town itself is not much to write home about but did I mention the beautiful scenery! There are a number of eateries in and around the area for all tastes and budgets. Puckertty Farm Stall has lovely homemade bread and baked goods. Best coffee is at the Olde Duck. Underberg is stunning for cycling hiking fishing, simply unwinding and taking in nature. Now I know why South Africans call SA God's country. Underberg is simply stunning."

Hill Billy's Self-Catering Accommodation - Unit 1"Een van dié mooiste plekke in ons land! Asemrowend natuurskoon!! Baie dinge om te doen; ziplines, eetplekkies, staproetes by Monks cowl, gholfbane, Falcon ridge se birds of pray is 'n moet! "
"Winterton is die sentrum van hierdie toeristestreek. Dit het 'n baie interessante museum. John Weston se gemotoriseerde karavaan waarmee hy en sy gesin honderd jaar gelede deur Afrika na Europa gereis het, staan in die museum. Die kurator en inligtingsbeampte van die museum is baie behulpsaam. 'n Goeie kaart van die hele gebied en al die oorblyplekke is beskikbaar. Winterton is 100 jaar oud, maar steeds 'n mooi dorpie wat goed instand gehou word. Iemand wat nog nie hier was nie, mis iets."
"Padtoestande is gunstig en gerieflik om nabygeleë dorpies te besoek. Die kuns, kultuur, geskiedenis, en asemrowende landskap is 'n moet om te besoek."
"Baie interessante dinge om te sien en te doen in Fouriesburg, met vele verrassings. Het heerlike aandete geniet by Windmill Pub and Grill!"

Hill Billy's Self-Catering Accommodation - Unit 1"Heart of Drakensburg. Lakes, mountains, waterfalls. Fantastic hiking and fishing. Winter period snow on mountains so log fires and red wine. Close to Winterton with Super Spar, restaurants and pubs. It is a chilled out place. If you are looking for parties and a rave, this area is not for you. To destress, unwind and blend with nature ideal for you."
