Great. I was there for a conference, so I didn't spend much time in the room, but the view was great when I was there, and the room was always clean.

Most inhospitable host - couldn't wait to leave. Thu. During an already stressful journey due to a high volume of business calls whilst en route, received a string of instructions on how to access the unit. Let the escape room challenge begin. Arrived, opened the outside key box, found a sticky single remote lying loose at the bottom of the box. Shrugged and took the remote, opened the gate, searched and found another key box with keys and a remote - perplexed, but late for the next appointment. Not allocated the downstairs room as booked, but upgraded to the upstairs room. Yes, the view is lovely, but the stairs feel like an episode from the Hunger Games (and why we picked the bottom room originally). Lugging everything upstairs and quickly leaving for the next event. Sat morning. Message from the host regarding the missing remote - explained we thought it was the remote to be used. Received a rather unpleasant reply asking what the reason was and why we removed it when it was taped to the box, when the instructions didn't say so. LOL, she said. Sat evening 21:45 - new escape game instructions on how to leave "Hotel California". (Only out by 10) but if you leave before 7am, leave the keys in the outside box. If you're a slacker and leave after 7am, you can leave the keys in the door, hunger games down the stairs and try to make it in time for the auto closing gate. (There's no one). And just to make sure you're up early, here's the loadshedding schedule (LS already started Fri and everyone has ESP) sent via WhatsApp at 06:45 Sun morning. We couldn't leave fast enough.

Dear Ilze, Thank you for the rating and I hope you enjoyed your complimentary upgrade to one of our luxury rooms. There was nothing wrong with our solar system or the inverter. The only time when the inverter has to reset itself is to protect itself from a spike or when some of our clients use heating devices and recharge personal items that use high voltage. We do ask in our welcoming letter that people stay mindful of the load shedding time and 99.9% of the time everyone does. I hope this once off situation was not too much of an inconvenience for you. Please note, not many guesthouses in this area provide solar electricity for entire rooms, from boiling kettles to blow drying your hair. Most just provide emergency light and WiFi.
