Description
636 Itaga Safari Lodge is a self-catering lodge located in Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. The Big 5 reserve is situated approximately 35km from Bela-Bela. The reserve boasts a restaurant and pub, the Kalahari Oasis, convenience shops, liquor shops, cold and heated swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, a putt-putt course, and other facilities to visit as well.
The lodge can accommodate 10 guests and comprises 4 en-suite bedrooms, a loft, a well-equipped kitchen, and a separate scullery with a living area and dining area. The 4 main bedrooms have extra-length king-size beds. The main bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath, twin basins, a shower, and an outside shower. All other bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and twin basins, and the ground-floor bedroom has an additional outdoor shower. There is also a separate guest bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. The loft is furnished with 2 single beds and there is a first-floor deck overlooking the swimming pool with stunning views of the surrounding bushveld. All of the bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning. In addition, an inverter provides backup power in case of loadshedding, however, high-power electricity-consuming appliances are not backed up.
The fully equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a gas oven with a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, and other appliances. The adjacent dining area has a wooden table with seating, and the lounge/dining area features a luxury gas fireplace.
In addition, the lodge boasts a viewing deck, a swimming pool, a boma and a braai area. There is also a gas braai facility on the deck for guests to use. A carport is available with extra open parking for additional vehicles.
