Replace the city lights with real stars and reconnect with nature at Aardvark Bioreserve, a private game reserve located near Ladismith in the Western Cape. This is the ideal place for families and friends seeking relaxation in tranquil surroundings.

Guests are offered accommodation in various units to meet their needs. These off-grid cottages offer luxury accommodations and include private wood-fired hot tubs, luxury linen, and fully equipped kitchens. Guests can fill their day exploring the game reserve on the hiking and mountain bike trails and enjoy sundowners on our nature drive, as the sun sets over the Swartberg mountains.

Guests can order free-range chicken, eggs, lamb, game, ostrich meat, vegetables, and fruit, all subject to availability. Game drives are offered, including a kiddies feeding safari at an additional cost. The game on Aardvark Bioreserve includes springbok, eland, kudu, oryx, giraffes, ostriches, blesbok, zebras, and, of course, aardvarks, although these nocturnal animals are hard to spot.

Relax, recharge, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Klein Karoo. Aardvark Bioreserve is also renowned for its hiking, trail running, and mountain biking trails, boasting more than 100 kilometres of gravel, jeep, and single-track paths.
