Lovely stay, but disappointed with the Jacuzzi. We really enjoyed our 3 days and can definitely recommend it. I have to deduct 1 star for the Jacuzzi though. If you advertise a Jacuzzi, it should be clearly stated that the water is not circulating or heated, unfortunately this is only mentioned after booking. Honestly, the place would be better without it. Hopefully the owners consider replacing it with a KolKol Wood Fired Hot Tub, which would definitely make this unique destination 5-star worthy and ensure another booking from our side.

Scenic, cozy stay. Would return. We spent two days at Abundance in the stunning Matjiesvlei area and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting surrounded by beautiful fauna and flora. Despite the strong winds during our stay, the house remained warm and cozy inside, making it a comfortable retreat. It’s well-equipped with everything you might need and offers breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, the wind made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor amenities, which was a bit of a pity. We also missed having an indoor braai and dining area, especially given the weather. While the gas geyser provided hot water, we found it impossible to get the right water temperature in the showers due to the mixers' setup. The options were scalding hot or icy cold. That said, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay overall. We would definitely like to return—hopefully next time with calmer weather so we can enjoy all that the property has to offer.
