Although pleasant, Deon still has a long way to go to justify the price. Not value for money for sure. Deon was very nice upon arrival. The place is clean and tidy, but not as well-maintained as I am used to from my many travels. I was constantly worried about the safety of my vehicle as the fence is low. No alarm on the vehicle. The yard is a bit messy and the swimming pool is not clean. Towels, although clean, look old and worn. However, hot water was excellent and immediately available in the taps.

Convenient alternative. The host was very friendly and helpful. The smell of fabric conditioner in the bedding was overwhelming. The below pictures are poor quality, not a good reflection of reality. The TV was not plugged in and the antenna was not connected at first.
