African Silhouette Guesthouse, Retreat & Tea Garden is situated on the border of Kempton Park, Bredell A/h and Benoni A/h is Marister, 20 min from OR Tambo Airport. The perfect layover between flights and destinations. The beautiful area provides an escape from city noise, providing an unforgettable nature experience with hearty hospitality since 2006.

The guesthouse and retreat are a quiet hideaway where families and groups can book stays for a maximum of 8 guests upon request. The retreat offers guests spacious air-conditioned en-suite rooms with a private entrance. In-room facilities include tea- and coffee-making facilities, a TV with M-Net and DStv in Luxury rooms, or no TV for those opting for a quiet, reading retreat. Guests can step out into their own private garden and start each day in a refreshing new way with an invigorating outdoor shower.

A romantic ambience for a newly married couple is available in the honeymoon suites with an exciting private garden with outside showers. Romantic moonlight picnics, midnight swimming in the pool, sipping sun-downers overlooking the koi pond, and listening to a variety of birds serenading new beginnings.

Guests can enjoy an evening around the roaring fire in the boma, making guests feel as if they are in the bush. Lush beautiful gardens surround the guesthouse, providing a perfect ambience. A rock pool to cool down in summer, a Koi dam, and reading spots in the garden and picnic spots provide all that the nature lover needs in the heart of Johannesburg, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Airport shuttles and dinner are available upon request at an additional cost, and aromatherapy massage treatments and picnics can also be arranged at an additional cost.

The home and garden invite all travellers to a traditional South African experience of farm animals, horses, donkeys, rich birdlife and nurseries with a variety of large trees and other indigenous plants around.
