Pure bliss. Afsaal cottage is what memories are made of. Picture a sunset over the west coast while a fire is going on the patio. Surrounded by fynbos and a padstal within walking distance which has a delicious menu and homemade cheese to die for. Pet friendly, which was what Thor needed. Come and experience it for yourself and create your own memories.

Perfection, rest for the soul. The most amazing break away. The cottage truly offers everything the soul needs and more — from the breathtaking sunsets on the stoep to the chorus of birdlife and the atmosphere of complete tranquility. It was beyond anything we could have imagined. Your hospitality was exceptional, and our furry “paw children” adored every moment. They ran free and became little children of the wild, adding even more joy to our stay. This was a weekend we will treasure forever. Thank you for opening your little piece of heaven to us — we will, without a doubt, be back soon.

Baie rustig, beautiful views. Cottage was way better than expected, quite expansive, beautiful westward views from the bedroom and patio across the veld/plains to the sea in the distance, affording stunning sunset! There's even 2 bathrooms (don't think included in the description) and it's nice and private, feels like you have the land to yourself. A very welcome overnight stop on our self-organised coastal hike, and Alta even drove down the grondpad and picked us up on the road from the beach, saving us an extra 2km walk. Rusks were great, as were the cheeses and other food we'd ordered from the padstal. The only thing we couldn't initially figure out was how to unlock the bedroom doors to the patio because none of the 5 keys worked, but that got sorted with a phone call! Definitely worth a revisit, but for a longer stay.

Rustig, mooi uitsig, een nag is nie genoeg nie, ook nie 10 nagte nie! Dit was 'n groot verrassing, dit was ver bo my verwagting, teen die bekostigbare prys. Hulle het tot vir my 'n paar eet dinge gelos, die lekkerste kase en vars melk.

Hemel op aarde. Droom verblyf. Beste keuse ooit. 'n Paar dae wegkom uit die stad se gedruis en te herlaai. Alles was perfek, van die ligging tot die ruim vertrekke. Die beste deel was om op die "plaashuisie" se stoep te sit, en oor die see te staar, en te luister na die natuur se geluide. En die heerlike koel see briesie was genoeg om enige warm dag af te koel. En geen detail is uitgelaat nie. Van die melk en ys in die yskas, tot die lekker ekstra's om aan te peusel. Vir seker 5 ster in my boek, en die onbeplande ekstra dag se verblyf, wat meer kan mens voor gevra het. En my twee honde kinders het dit net so baie geniet.

Quiet and safe stay in a beautiful setting near the sea. Had a wonderful stay and rested in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The unit is very homely and comfortable. We had a great time hanging out on the porch and braaiing.

Highly recommended, away from city and town, peaceful, away from neighbours. Our second time around, highly recommended. My daughter and assistant went along. Critically important to us is that our dogs can be with us. The area is fenced in, and the beach is about 3 km away. Miles of white sand where they can run and play. Outside the hustle and bustle of town, yet 15 minutes away. Padstal is next door for all those nice homemade snacks, etc.

Lovely, comfortable, relaxing. Great, comfortable and clean stay. The dogs enjoyed the stay too. Value for money and the treats were a lovely surprise.

Hier wil ek aftree. Maklik om te kry. Goeie ligging. Gerieflike huisie met alles wat mens nodig het. Heerlike melk, kaas en beskuit in die blyplek. Die rustigheid en uitsig was net wat ons nodig gehad het na 'n lang reis. Ons het net een nag gebly, maar ons sal terugkom vir langer.
