A beautiful guest house with terrible management. The guest house itself is beautiful with endless possibilities if they have a completely different management. We booked 3 self-catering rooms. In one of the rooms, only the bed was made up. The previous guest's food was still in the microwave, the fridge was dirty, and the bathroom, and the floors. They could only manage to get someone to clean the room several hours later which resulted in one person staying in the room for around an hour to look after their items while someone is cleaning while the rest of us started to braai. Overall cleanliness of the rooms was not good. There is more than enough wood, but insufficient braai equipment. The guest house is not located in the safest neighbourhood, has low walls and no burglar bars which result in that you can't leave anything open which makes the rooms smell extremely stuffy. Photos are accurate descriptions, but the rooms are a lot more neglected than in the pictures. The bedding is washed out and feels old. Breakware is all mixed up. Broken out blind in room 1. WIFI not working throughout the weekend. On the second day, another guest needed to book in and struggled for more than an hour - with the website also not able to reach the guest house - unsuccessfully trying to contact the guest house for entry. Eventually, they did get entry, the office was open and they had access to all the room's spare keys without being accompanied by someone from the guest house. Once again we were contacted to figure out the location of the rooms booked so that the other guests could test the keys they found themselves because no one was available from the guest house. This is a MAJOR safety concern for guests. Would not recommend this guest house to anyone.

Tranquility, relaxation, perfection. We used the guesthouse as a central point to stay to travel to surrounding areas. A 5-minute walk to the mall. Very clean. The staff are friendly. We had the entire place to ourselves. The braai area overlooking the pool is breathtaking. A lovely place to relax and get away from city life.

Wonderful and pleasant. What a wonderful overall experience. We were welcomed by Joan, who had fantastic people skills, and immediately we fell in love with the place. We will definitely recommend it to others, and we will surely be returning to Bastion Quarters again.

Relaxing. We had an excellent stay at Bastion Quarters. Shandre and Joan went the extra mile to make our stay extra enjoyable! We will definitely be back!
