The place is amazing, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The accommodation is ideal for the person who just wants to find themselves again. And to make you realize, one must be able to maintain balance in life.

Quiet and private. Had a great night's sleep, thank you. Staff are very friendly and plenty of wood was provided. It was very cold. Ordered a nice "platter" which was taken to our place. Would recommend that you look into a breakfast option; if not, could you provide an induction hob. Wall in room needs some work, but everything was clean and tidy. Oh, yes, kettle wouldn't open or turn off after it had boiled. Little things to look at. But very peaceful and lots of birds to see.

Quiet farm atmosphere with nice fireplace for the cold evenings makes it a nice getaway destination. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. One immediately feels at home and safe with the open spaces and farm atmosphere. The ample wood for the braai and fireplace was very welcome, and even fire lighters were provided. A bottle of the farm's wine was complimentary and in the fridge. We can highly recommend Black Oystercatcher Cottages.

Peaceful and in nature, but in need of repairs. The view is beautiful from the balcony. There are braai facilities and an equipped kitchen. We stayed 4 days, I was able to cycle and walk in nature. We were just not satisfied with the cobwebs in the corners of the windows and under all the furniture and did some cleaning ourselves the first day. The electric frying pan had mold on it (from the moldy kitchen cupboard under the sink) so didn't use it and preferred to cook on the fire. Overall it was nice, but advise that they take better care of repair work and cleaning.

Reception was very poor. Very poor reception! Reception was very poor. Young man who helped us very unfit and showed no respect towards us as a customer. He spoke English and out of respect I answered him in English even though my first language is Afrikaans. He then replied, just speak Afrikaans because I see you can't speak English. I work every day with clients many of whom are English and although I am Afrikaans, my English is very good. He didn't even bother to introduce himself.
