Never again. Waste of money and time. The agent is unprofessional. Place is not as advertised. The towels were dirty, the toilet top was broken, not all lights were working, bed bugs, no Wi-Fi as advertised, and the bathroom roof was sagging in — clearly, no inspections or care is given. Since day one, we struggled to get feedback from the agent regarding the Wi-Fi. In the 14 days that we stayed at Bo-Kaap, the Wi-Fi worked for only 2 days. There was always an excuse as to why nothing was being done. We received a new mattress after reporting the bed bugs. When the mattress was lifted, we noticed how broken the bed frame was. Once I notified the agent about all of this, we were told to leave the premises the very same day and that we would be refunded. After stating three times that this is not how it should be handled, we received an email with the termination date and time — which was absolutely ridiculous. The website managed everything in the end, and only when they stepped in did things start getting resolved. They attempted to steal our vehicle twice, with one attempt being successful and our number plates were taken. Nothing gets done when requested, and everything is handled in an unprofessional manner. This is a no-star type of apartment. Stars were only given because the app did not accept a review without a rating.

Thank you for your feedback. However, we'd like to clarify the situation for full transparency. You viewed the property in person before your stay and confirmed you were happy with everything at the time. Unfortunately, once moved in, a series of complaints followed, many of which were either addressed immediately (such as providing a new mattress) or found to be inconsistent upon inspection. Given your ongoing dissatisfaction, and in the interest of both parties, we suggested that you move to alternative accommodation better suited to your needs. This was to avoid prolonging a stay that was clearly making you unhappy. We take guest safety and property standards seriously, and while we regret that this experience did not meet your expectations, we acted promptly where necessary and in accordance with our policies. We wish you all the best going forward.
