Fantastic 4 day stay in Stone Circle Cottage. Fantastic 4 day stay in Stone Circle Cottage. The kitchen is well equipped (4 plate gas stove, pots and pans, gas fridge/freezer, crockery, cutlery etc). Lights are LED run off a battery, lasting more than 3 nights. The bathroom is neat, with a bath that runs off a gas geyser - as much warm water as you can dream of! The inside fireplace is amazing! The bed is two single beds pushed together - the only thing I would change. Great braai and boma area, comfy camping chairs and a table provided. I tried my best, but could not exhaust the free firewood provided for the fireplace and braai. The area is beautiful, the game is tame and the host is just perfect. Always willing to chat, and goes above and beyond the extra mile for guests. Lekker entertainment area (Rooikat se Gat) with pool table, pinball machine, ping pong table and swimming pool. Lots of plugs to charge devices available to all here as well. Plenty of hiking trails that are well maintained, and lots of 'platkar' friendly roads to drive, all the way up to the waterfall. The 4x4 track looks innocent, but it does require good ground clearance and 4x4, not all-wheel-drive, to get to the top. There aren't sissy routes or bypasses, and very few points to turn around. But the view from the top is just amazing.

Heerlike rus in die buitelig. Ek en my vrou het heerlik gebly in Caracal Lodge. Craig was gasvry, en het ons absoluut welkom laat voel. Ons het heerlik uitgerus en kon gaan stap, en kyk na die voeltjies en die wild. Die huis was netjies, skoon en goed toegerus.

Die mees teleurstellende verblyf nog ooit! Die omgewing is pragtig, maar die verblyf was 'n groot teleurstelling. Die wooneenheid was vuil, moes al die breekware was voor ons dit kan gebruik. Die vadoeke was so vuil - gedink dit is vloerlappe. Die vleisbak was onbruikbaar. Die mure in die kombuis is pikswart van vuil. Die stoele is baie vuil en grillerig om op te sit. Die beddegoed was nie gestryk nie en vol akkedis mis. Nadat my man geval en sy kop beseer het, het Craig vir ons noodhulp voorraad gebring waarvoor ons baie dankbaar was. Ons het aan hom verduidelik dat ons eerder maar wil huistoe gaan om behandeling te kry en hy het geweier om ons enige terugbetaling te gee.

Peaceful and relaxing. We had such a relaxing stay, the area was quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect getaway from the hustle of town. The scenery is so beautiful, from the waterfall to the giraffes, ostriches, and many other animals. I will definitely recommend Caracal Lodge to anyone wanting an escape from the town's noises and just to relax and be at peace.

Awesome hide-away, all the luxuries from home with beautiful views. We will definitely visit again. The best place to unwind and relax. Loved the outside shower, the enclosed braai Lapa. The privacy and everything was just perfect. We loved watching all the animals Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Ostrich and more. Lovely picnic spot at the Waterfall,.

Lovely private bush lodge to give you that secluded feeling. Lovely private bush lodge to give you that secluded feeling, with lots of game to view close up, however with good service at hand if needed. We had a great 4 night stay to explore the nearby forests by mountain bike.
