Stunning situation (though rough road). Most enjoyable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The manager was extremely helpful. Besides house and walk-related queries, he kindly took one of our party to the doctor in Porterville when she needed stitches for a leg wound. The house definitely needs more crockery and cutlery; else one would run the dishwasher half full after every meal. There needs to be an instruction book for the large Smeg oven. We are experienced hikers, and the maps provided are confusing and inadequate. The blue spots on paths help but are not visible at some critical points.

It was a wonderful weekend. Beautiful location and beautiful paths to walk. We had a very nice stay. It gets very cold, but we are well equipped for it.

A tranquil retreat with every creature comfort. Spectacular walks in all directions, with clear streams, natural pools, unique rock formations and even a bit of rock art. Our cottage was very comfortable, with excellent WiFi, an indoor fireplace (already laid) and outdoor braai area, comfy arm chairs and a fully equipped small kitchen (with Smeg appliances).
