A comfortable, old world charm gem. We stayed over for one night as we had an evening function in Hopefield and didn't want to drive the 40 minutes back home at night. What a little "old world charm" gem. The owners have kept the hotel in its original form in terms of furnishing and the public areas, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, the tea and coffee tray well stocked, and the toiletries high quality. Safe off-street parking was provided. For 2 nights, it was fine. Nice and quiet. We were disappointed that the kitchen was closed for renovations and we had to find our own restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We only found out on the morning we checked in. The bar was very smoky, so we took our drinks elsewhere. The staff are friendly and helpful. Hi Anita Thanks for your feedback. We do apologise for the rowdiness. We were celebrating the opening of our new restaurant and it was much busier than we expected. We do, however, have a very strict rule to close the bar by 22:00 on weekdays and 23:00 on weekends to ensure that there is peace and quiet in the hotel at night. We do offer free WiFi and have rooms with showers. We know baths are somewhat of an issue for some people, so we made sure our description of the rooms is very clear.
