Copperleigh Trout Lodge is a self-catering house located on Copperleigh Farm, overlooking the 10-hectare trout-stocked Mavela Dam in the upper Dargle area, part of the popular Midlands Meander in Kwazulu-Natal. This unit is perfect for guests who are looking for a relaxing getaway.
This double-storey house can accommodate up to 6 adults and 3 children and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a child-only single bed and has access to an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The second bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. The third bedroom is located in the loft and contains a queen-size bed and a child-only bunk bed. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also a guest bathroom with just a toilet located downstairs. Linen and bath towels are provided, however, guests are required to bring their own swimming towels for use at the dam or hot tub.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, an electric stove with gas hobs, an oven, cutlery, crockery and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The open-plan living room is furnished with a comfortable couch, a flat-screen TV, a fireplace and a dining table. Access to complimentary Wi-Fi is available.
Guests have access to a covered patio with outdoor furniture and a braai. Secure parking is provided on the premises. Paddles and some life jackets are included with the kayak at each unit, but guests should bring their own life jackets as there are limited sizes available. The property is located approximately 30 km outside Howick, where guests can enjoy local amenities such as shops and restaurants.
Additionally, a standby generator is available to ensure electricity continuity in the event of a power outage.
