Quiet, breathtaking and beautiful. Chalet (and kitchen) is fully equipped, you can really only bring clothes, food, walking shoes and a book to read. We had a very nice and comfortable stay. The loft is also cleverly divided with cupboards and forms 2 semi-private rooms. The outside shower room (with sink and toilet) is very spacious and has a nice view. The large porch/lounge area is really by the river (overlooking the river) and has a nice long table and good braai area. There is a 2nd braai area under the river as well. Everything looks like in the photos and even more beautiful. Lots of butterflies and birdlife. Farmer Johan (as my son calls him) also brought 'bamboo fishing rods' and we caught some good fish. Owners and staff are very helpful and friendly (and Kiets and Toffie)! The road is a great challenge, but very definitely doable with a vehicle with high ground clearance. Bring your MTB.
