De Hoop Opstal Equipped Cottages offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in the beautiful De Hoop Nature Reserve. The Opstal area is a central base from which to explore the reserve; The Fig Tree Restaurant can be found here, and is open all day. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals prepared using locally sourced produce. Guests can either drive, hike or cycle to may of the interesting locations in the reserve.

Accommodation is offered in 7 self-catering cottages. There are six 2-bedroom cottages and one 3-bedroom cottage. Each cottage has a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, lounge and dining area, and an outdoor braai and dining area. Each kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, an oven and stove, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, cutlery and crockery, kitchen utensils, and dish-washing liquid and a sponge. Braai equipment is also provided. Linen and bath towels are provided. These well-appointed cottages are a stylish and affordable option in the hub of the reserve.

De Hoop Nature Reserve offers sea, sand dunes, the vlei, a floral sensation of rare fynbos plants, diverse antelope, and the Potberg mountains. Birders can observe wading birds on the shores of the vlei, while the Potberg mountains are home to a colony of endangered Cape vultures. Hikers and cyclists can enjoy close-up encounters with bontebok, Cape mountain zebra, eland, baboons, and ostrich. Guests can choose between various day walks through the rich fynbos plains or along the deserted coastline, mountain biking along the many gravel roads or scenic game drives. Lazing on the beach and snorkelling in the turquoise rock pools is another activity guests can enjoy. There is a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a boules courtyard.
