de Minimalist House is a charming guest house situated in the town of Clarens, known as the ‘Jewel of the Free State. There are various shops and art galleries in the nearby village square.

The house is mainly built from reclaimed building material. You will get this feel when you walk through our high-volume lobby with rustic floors. The plastered but untiled floors run throughout the house giving it a simple industrial feel but still a warm feel.

Accommodation is offered in 3 private guest rooms namely: Room Faith, Room Hope and Room Love. Each room is furnished with a double size bed with an en-suite fitted with a shower.

Guests have shared use of a communal kitchen, dining room and lounge. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, microwave, and kettle. The dining area contains an 8-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge has couches and a standing fan. The house is equipped with gas heaters and a wood burner/fireplace.

There are many activities to enjoy in Clarens, such as hiking trails, biking routes and water rafting.
