De Rust Campsite offers tranquil camping and self-catering accommodation situated on the banks of the Pienaar River in Dinokeng Game Reserve, approximately 35 km from Pretoria. Ideal for guests wanting a peaceful, untouched bushveld experience.
This campsite offers 36 grassed sites that can accommodate between 4 and 10 guests and 2 self-catering chalets that can accommodate 4 to 6 guests. Some of the sites are located on the banks of the river while others are located further away in the bush. Each site has access to braai facilities, power supply, shared kitchen facilities and water points. Three of the sites offer private ablution facilities, while the other sites make use of shared ablution facilities. The self-catering chalets have private bathrooms, comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchens.
Guests have access to a communal swimming pool and laundry facilities. The campsite also has an honesty shop with basic groceries. Part of the Finfoot Conservancy and home to The Big 5, De Rust also boasts impressive birdlife.
