Drakensberg International Backpackers is located 3 km from the entrance to the Highmoor Nature Reserve in the Drakensberg. The reserve features rivers, caves, and San rock art. The property is off-grid and offers rustic accommodation.

Each unit is furnished with beds, and guests have access to a communal bathroom fitted with showers and toilets. A communal kitchen is equipped with a gas stove.

A mountain river runs through the farm, forming natural pools. A bass dam is available for fishing, and a fire pit is located at the water’s edge. The property includes forest trails and mountain views.
