Description

Grace Country Retreat is located on the outskirts of Memel in the North Eastern Free State, near the provincial boundaries of KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga. The retreat is close to local businesses, including the Memel Hotel, Mahem Coffee Shop, and Die Fyne Vurk restaurant.

Accommodation consists of 8 self-catering units. Most units have an open-plan lounge, bedroom, and kitchen, with 2 single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed on request. A triple unit with 3 single beds and a family unit with a queen-size bed and a single bed are also available. All units have en-suite bathrooms with a shower and bath.

The lounge area includes 2 easy chairs, and the kitchen has a counter with 2 bar stools, a fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, 4-plate gas hob, and cupboards stocked with crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. There is no TV or radio in the units. Free Wi-Fi and card machine facilities are available.

On-site facilities include a coffee shop serving breakfasts, light meals, and dinners by prior reservation, as well as braai facilities and picnic baskets. Guests can enjoy hiking trails, mountain biking, horse riding on selected farms, or visiting the nearby Seekoeivlei Nature Reserve.
