Wonderful local charm. From the outside it looks a bit worn down, but once inside, the charm of this place takes over and we had a wonderful overnight stopover from Bloem to Drakensberg. Food was very good and the local pub with its visiting donkey was a hit. Gorgeous gardens to relax in and safe parking for vehicles.

Nostalgia, nice relaxed atmosphere, feels like home, something for everyone, clean & neat. The nostalgia and relaxed atmosphere made us feel very much at home. There is something for everyone to feel happy and content although the hotel which was established in the late 1800's and has kept many of the historical artefacts and history. Young and old enjoy the daily visit that the donkey makes to the bar. Everything was clean and tidy. This was more than just a place to stay overnight and it is a shame that so many people drive past on their way to their final destination without discovering this gem.

It was absolutely awesome, would go back there anytime. Very nice stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late and yet we were received with kindness. Beautiful and neat place.
