Safari Sunset Cottage is a charming self-catering retreat situated on a working farm about 10 km northwest of Great Brak River in the Western Cape. Nestled halfway between George and Mossel Bay near the N2, this location offers the tranquillity of nature, picturesque dam views, and safe farm walks, while the bustling beach holiday atmosphere of Hartenbos is just a 20-minute drive away.

Three cosy cottages overlook the dam, where wildlife often roams. Each cottage sleeps 4–6 guests, with a total capacity of 14. The cottages are spaced to ensure privacy.

This particular cottage accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, offering a scenic view of the dam where wildlife frequently gathers to drink. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a luxurious bath. The second, smaller bedroom has 2 single beds and access to an adjacent bathroom with a shower.

The cottage features an open-plan seating area, and the kitchenette is equipped with an air fryer, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, gas stove, oven, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Boasting modern finishes, the outdoor area includes a cosy wood-fired hot tub, an outdoor shower, and braai facilities on the patio.

Guests are welcome to explore designated walking areas on the farm, while cycling routes extend from the farm to surrounding areas. For birdwatchers, there is a wide variety of birds such as the Knysna Loerie, Fish Eagle, and numerous waterbirds. The farm is home to disease-free buffalo and various species of antelope. Farm tours are available on request at an additional charge.
