Situated in Middelburg in the Eastern Cape, the Halfway Rest is the ideal stopover for guests travelling along the N9 and the N10 routes.
Halfway Rest features 4 separate open-plan units that accommodate up to 12 guests in total.
Halfway Rest 1 features a queen-size bed and 2 single beds. The bathroom is en-suite and is fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, a fridge, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, a gas bottle, in case of load shedding, as well as a dining area. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided. The room area also has a TV with DStv, as well as free Wi-Fi access. There is a fan in the room, as well as electric blankets on the beds, and the air-conditioner is prepaid.
Halfway Rest 2 is a small open-plan unit with 2 single beds sleeping 2 guests. The bathroom is en-suite and has a shower, toilet and a washbasin. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, fridge and coffee and tea-making facilities. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided. The room also has a TV with DStv and free WiFi. There is a fan in the room, as well as electric blankets on the beds, the air-conditioner is prepaid.
Halfway Rest 3 is an open-plan unit that comprises a double bed and 2 single beds. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen area is equipped with a microwave, a fridge, tea-and-coffee-making facilities, a gas bottle (in case of load shedding), as well as a dining area. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided. The room area also has a TV with DStv, as well as free Wi-Fi access. There is a fan in the room, as well as electric blankets on the beds, the air-conditioner is prepaid.
Halfway Rest 4 is a comfortable unit with a double bed suitable for two persons. The bathroom is en-suite and is fitted with a shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a frying pan, tea and coffee facilities, as well as a dining area. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided. The room area also has a TV with DStv, as well as free Wi-Fi access. Please take note that access to the unit is via 4 easy steps. There is a fan in the room, as well as electric blankets on the beds, the air-conditioner is prepaid.
Braai facilities, as well as parking right next to the unit are available. There is enough space for a caravan and trailer. There is also a water tank with a pump and a generator for load shedding that takes place in the evening.
Halfway Rest is within walking distance from restaurants in town, so guests can go for a relaxing stroll after a long day on the road.
