Description
Hanati Chalets is a 53 km drive from Pretoria on the N1 North, inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve, where the Big Five, most antelope species, and a variety of birdlife roam freely. It’s the perfect getaway for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
The self-catering chalets are set among the trees, each one private and separate from the others. All chalets are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. The units are fully equipped so that guests only need to bring clothing, toiletries, and food.
Accommodation is offered in 6 units – 3 chalets can each accommodate 4 guests, and 3 units can each accommodate 2 guests. Each room has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The chalets feature a stoep with braai facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, a living area, and covered parking at the unit. For guests’ privacy, units are not serviced during their stay, and each chalet has its own dishwasher.
The lodge offers a large communal swimming pool and a games room, which is especially popular in the evenings. Guests can also relax around the campfire, and one of the lapas has full DStv.
Upon arrival at one of the reserve gates, guests can purchase a self-drive permit, which includes a map indicating the location of all the restaurants, picnic spots, shops, and attractions. A conservation fee is also payable to the reserve on arrival, or can be paid in advance.
The 4x4 route is managed by the park and can only be enjoyed as part of a guided game drive in a game-viewing vehicle.
For added security, the property is fenced with an electric fence and has a remote-controlled access gate.
