Dear Rudi,
Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations.
We’d like to respond to a few of the points raised:
Firstly, although our unit is normally limited to a maximum of 4 guests, we made an exception to accommodate your group of 5. We always try to be as flexible and welcoming as possible.
As a self-catering accommodation, we don’t supply toiletries such as shampoo or shower gel, nor items like coffee or tea as part of our offering. However, we do try to leave some basic items in the kitchen, such as tea and ground coffee. It’s possible the coffee may have run out before your arrival, and we’re sorry if that was the case.
We replaced our bedding inners just last year, and the pillows used are standard sizes according to South African norms. Nonetheless, we’ll review this feedback with our housekeeping team to ensure everything is up to standard.
Regarding the garden, it is professionally maintained every second week. As your stay was only for one night, it’s possible your visit fell at the end of that maintenance cycle.
Our check-in assistant personally asked if everything was in order, and no concerns were raised at the time. We always encourage guests to let us know during their stay if anything isn’t right, so we can address it immediately.
Lastly, we’d like to thank you for your honesty and also mention that after your departure, our team found and safely returned a forgotten necklace—something we were happy to assist with.
We hope this clarifies a few things, and again thank you for your feedback, which helps us improve.
Warm regards,
