Simple, blissful and lovely. It was such a great experience. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so helpful. Ilze and Simon started our fire when we arrived as it was a rainy, cold day; it was just what we needed and I would recommend it to anyone. Harder is such a cosy little cottage and has all you need for just yourself and your partner.

Perfect spot to kick off your shoes, slow down, make a fire and unwind! We had a lovely stay, easy to find, easy check-in and out, friendly welcome, and we took a nice long stroll to the river. Beautiful spot and perfect little cottage with all the basics - except a coffee plunger. We packed our own ground coffee but realised the next morning we couldn't make any. It wasn't a big issue, but we really wanted that morning coffee on the stoep to add to the lovely experience. We made a fire inside to avoid the wind, really nice and cosy! Nothing fancy or pretentious, just a lovely little West Coast gem to detach from the hustle and bustle - exactly what we wanted!

Feels like I've visited Grandpa's family farm. Very basic and close to nature, but provides everything you need. Great "yesteryear feeling". Would have liked to stay much longer, because time stands still. Incredibly friendly staff. Salt of the earth.
