Peaceful and beautiful! It was so beautiful and peaceful! We really enjoyed staying there and hoped we stayed longer. The view is absolutely amazing! It feels like you are in another world.

Peaceful stay with lovely views in well set-up cottage. The cottage has lovely views and all the basic things you need for self-catering. I was even given some eggs and other bits and pieces from the garden in the morning. There is a bit of a walk from the parking to the cottage, so pack relatively lightly. It was very peaceful, and I heard a fish eagle in the distance.

So beautiful! The sofa is not ideal for sleeping. Need a high car for the dirt road. Such a nice stay! But the sofa is not suitable for a 3rd person to sleep on. The gravel road is best for high cars. But it's beautiful, would recommend to everyone.

Peaceful, immersed in nature. This cleverly designed and beautifully situated cottage has spectacular views over the Gonubie River, surrounded by natural forest which makes it a nature-lover's paradise. Small thoughtful touches everywhere, plus a forest deck that is just magical. Host Karen was warm and welcoming, and while the farm is not fully operational at present, she took the time to show me around and explain the integrated homesteading. It was a wonderful stay - nightjars calling all night an added bonus!

Wonderful experience off grid. Our family enjoyed our stay at Heartwood Homestead, and learned a lot about life off-grid. Our hosts opened their home to us, and were helpful. Our busy girls, always had something to do. We are sold on the compost toilet.
