Beautiful and peaceful farm unit. Beautiful accommodation fitted out with everything one could need. Even though we never met our hosts, all the information we needed was forwarded to us well in advance. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A great warm and welcoming experience. Our stay at Hillside Farm was superb. It is situated 500m from the N1, but because of its position, we were not disturbed by the highway. The beautiful setting and gardens, the friendly and customer-oriented staff, and the delicious food added to the experience! A great place to break a long journey overnight.

Quiet and complete. An ideal road trip stopover. A wonderful find 500m from the N1. Nestled behind a hill, there is no road noise. The accommodation has been carefully restored with a modern bathroom that blends in. Everything needed for a stopover between Johannesburg and the Great Karoo is at hand. It's definitely my first choice for all future trips.

What an idyllic family farm where we could walk and watch animals for hours! In Hillside's Tree House, which we stayed in, there were three bedrooms with six beds and three bathrooms with a beautiful dining room and kitchen, and meals delivered to our table.
