Description
House on Suikerbossie is situated in the quaint, picturesque village of Vanderkloof, on the shore of the Vanderkloof Dam. The accommodation comprises the main house and a separate self-contained flatlet, which makes the property very comfortable when needing to accommodate a larger group.
The free-standing house offers 6 guests 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All rooms are furnished with 2 extra-length beds, ample cupboard space and ceiling fans. There is a bathroom with a shower, basin and a separate toilet across the hallway. The main bedroom has air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. All fresh linen and towels are provided. There is also free WIFI included for our guests.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities, as well as a dishwasher and a washing machine. The lounge is equipped with a TV that offers selected DStv channels as an option and a Bluetooth speaker to listen to your own music. There is also an air conditioner in the open living area for those hot summer days.
The living area opens onto a patio with a built-in braai area and overlooks the garden and fire pit. Undercover parking is available for 2 vehicles or a vehicle and a trailer or boat. There is a private outdoor shower as well for those wanting to freshen up under the stars. A newly built splash pool offers guests the opportunity to cool off and enjoy the dam view from the front garden. A cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost per day and should be arranged a few days in advance, please.
The self-contained air-conditioned flatlet on the same property can accommodate 2 additional people, comprising a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bathroom with a shower, an open-plan lounge and a fully equipped kitchenette.
Vanderkloof Dam offers activities such as excellent Small and Largemouth Yellow fishing, kayaking, and boating, and guests can walk the Pied Barbet Trail in the Rolfontein Nature Conservation, or visit the Eskom Hydroelectric Power Station or can just relax and observe the abundant bird and insect life in the tranquillity of the private garden.
