Calm atmosphere. We had a very nice stay. Very spacious rooms and lovely clean bedding and hot water. We were spoiled with a sandwich. It was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed our 2 nights there. The house is tastefully decorated with everything you need. Had a great time at the braai and of course on the front porch. We will stay there again and visit.

Tranquil, relaxing, warm hospitality. Kandelaars Cottage was perfect for our short stay in Oudtshoorn. Very well positioned to take a quick drive to Mossel Bay, but also visit the safari camps on the R328 and visit so many other tourist attractions. The surprising addition of the warm blankets and warm water bottles was just what we needed to conquer the cold evenings! Elmare spoilt us with fresh farm bread and a bottle of wine on arrival, such a great treat which we loved! One build I can give is to take a photo of the braai and a full view of the kitchen to show that there is no oven - it definitely did not make a difference to our fantastic stay, but will definitely add value to the listing. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed the little cottage, which was the perfect size for 6 people.
