Karoo Queen Houseboat is a luxury houseboat located on the waters of the Gariep Dam. She is ideal for family and friends gathering for celebrations, teambuilding events, small weddings, or just a lovely retreat from city life.

The Karoo Queen cruises for 2 nights, anchoring at different islands on the dam each night, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy their natural surroundings while experiencing true Karoo hospitality and cuisine. She consists of 7 bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate 14 guests. All the bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds, and 6 rooms have an open-plan, en-suite shower. The seventh room has a separate bathroom fitted with a shower.

The package can be upgraded to include all meals, from early morning breakfast to arrival cocktails and snacks and a 3-course dinner of delicious Karoo cuisine. Meals are served in the spacious living area with ample seating and dining space, which boasts all-around views of the dam.

The more adventurous guests can try out the stand-up paddle boards or explore the waters by kayak. Guests should ensure they do not miss the sunset champagne cruise from the sailboat. Guests also have access to braai facilities.

The dam is also perfect for other water-based sports, including waterskiing and tubing, and is home to a large variety of bird species that can be viewed by taking a tender boat to one of the smaller islands.
