Escape to Kata Charis, a true Nature Lover’s paradise with breathtaking views over the Sabie River Valley. Nestled at the edge of the untouched Hazyview–Kiepersol Conservancy, this tranquil retreat overlooks a serene 3-hectare dam surrounded by abundant birdlife and indigenous flora.

Please note: as the accommodation is located on a working farm, access is via a well-maintained farm road, suitable for most vehicles.

Our two luxurious, air-conditioned self-catering chalets each sleep up to six guests comfortably. Every chalet offers:
Two spacious en-suite bedrooms (queen bed in the main room; twin beds in the second)
Fully equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, stove, microwave, toaster & kettle
Crisp cotton percale linen, hypo-allergenic pillows & fluffy towels
Private veranda with braai facilities and lake views
Relax on the deck and enjoy the sounds of nature — perhaps spotting a Fish Eagle in flight, a hovering kingfisher, or wildflowers in bloom.

Please bring your own firewood or charcoal and firelighters. Secure, shaded parking for two cars. Homeschooling friendly.

Just minutes from Hazyview’s attractions, Kata Charis is perfectly located for exploring the Panorama Route, Kruger National Park, and a variety of adventure activities — from river rafting and tubing to zip-lining through the forest canopy.
