Kleine Hansie Kothuis is a cosy self-catering cottage for 2 adults and a child in Karoo-town, Sutherland.

The open-plan cottage has a private entrance, and is furnished with a double bed, and a three-quarter bed. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and a toilet, and for convenience, bath towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a 2-plate stove, a microwave, a fridge, a toaster, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a dining area. Complimentary coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided on arrival.

A TV is available, and to view DStv, guests please need to bring their decoder, remote and smart card. In winter a heater and electric blankets are available, and a fan or portable air-conditioner is available in summer.

Outdoor braai facilities, chairs and firelighters are provided and guests please need to bring their own firewood. Secure parking is available.

Kleine Hansie Cottage is conveniently located next to a local restaurant and grocery store, within walking distance, and just 1 km from other shops and a variety of attractions such as the Louw House Museum, Planetarium, and the historic Sutherland Church. Guests can enjoy historical tours related to the Anglo-Boer War. A visit to SALT, the Southern African Large Telescope, can also be arranged, and stargazing is available at three venues in town by prior booking. Fossils can be viewed in the area, and a day trip to a renowned nature reserve offering unique wine tasting is highly recommended. In winter, guests can enjoy snow activities, while spring brings an abundance of wildflowers to admire.
