Friendly staff, excellent service. Furnishings poor condition and maintenance. In celebration of our sixteenth wedding anniversary, we chose this establishment as our destination because it boasts an on-site spa — a feature that significantly added to its appeal, together with the picturesque vistas. Having arrived early at our destination, we first had a light lunch at the bistro and subsequently visited the spa to make an inquiry about their schedule, only to find out, to our dismay, that they were fully booked for the entire weekend. It might be worthwhile to consider adding this service as an option within the existing the website booking procedure to improve customer experience. While the service was exemplary, the five-star price point was not justified by the furniture in our room, which was more in line with a two-star establishment. Damage was present on the tables as bubbling veneer; the coffee table was broken and had been previously subjected to substandard repair; a section of wood was broken away from the cabinet beneath the television. Black marks, possibly mould, stained the blackout curtains, and the dirty carpet showed stains. The deck showed its age, requiring immediate maintenance, and the two recliner chairs were rickety, and their orange cushions were brown with stains. Not only were the bathroom's guest amenities satisfactory, but the bedroom's bedding was outstanding — it was spotlessly clean and exceptionally comfortable, leading to a most restful and pleasant night's sleep. The Wi-Fi in the room had a powerful signal and everything else that should have been working was working perfectly.
