A place to unwind and load up on new energy. Kranskop was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet, restful, soulful, scenic spot to unwind. Gerrit is an amazing host, the breakfast is opulent, and the dinners were amazing, simple but expertly done. Sitting on the veranda, watching the sun go down and sipping a glass of fermented grape juice was the icing on the cake. One night we cooked for ourselves and were able to enjoy all the excellent appliances he is using. We were thankful.

Wedding guest stay. Gerrit is a fantastic host, he was great with communication, always friendly and very helpful! Kranskop is located in an exceptionally beautiful location and is no more than a 15 min drive from De Rust. I look forward to visiting Kranskop again!

Great place! We loved it! We had 2 super relaxing nights. The garden is a highlight. Gerhard is a wonderful host; he is entertaining and funny. The breakfast was outstanding.

Amazing, relaxing and enjoyable. We had an amazing weekend, the bedrooms, food and location were amazing. The host made the weekend relaxing and enjoyable.

Gerrit goes the extra mile. I'd liken it more to an air-BnB than a guesthouse - you're welcomed into Gerrit's home. So, a very homely and casual feel whilst being of high standard. Gerrit is an experienced host, having had a career in hospitality in Franschhoek. The rooms are separate units, so you have your privacy. We star-gazed and played our music until late without disturbing anyone else. Breakfast is at the main house, either in Gerrit's kitchen or on the porch. The heated pool is marvelous and Gerrit's dogs and cats are very sweet. We took our 13-year-old beagle and she was also welcomed and treated like one of Gerrit's own pets. Definitely going back, and I do recommend staying for three or more days to really disconnect from life and enjoy the peace you find in the Karoo.

Most relaxing weekend. This is a very remote location. Away from hustle and bustle. Very homely and our host was very accommodating.

Lovely little gem just off the beaten track. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings to unwind and relax. Our host was friendly and attentive and his cooking was fab. Attention to detail and beautifully done bedroom.
