Great family getaway in the bush! We visited Kruger Cottage as a family of seven (two adults, five kids) and had such an amazing time! The house is located a couple of minutes' walk from the Crocodile River, where you can enjoy incredible sunrises and sunsets. There are resident hippos along that stretch of the river and we were lucky enough to spot a hyena! We had many animal visitors in the garden at Kruger Cottage — warthog, kudu and bushbuck. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, and the owner is so friendly (as is the caretaker). The thatched roof creates a bush-holiday atmosphere, as does the veranda (where we sat each morning with a coffee and rusk) and the fire pit for braais and late-night chilling. It was lovely and hot during our stay and our kids pretty much lived in the pool — definitely one of the cottage’s most welcome features. There’s a local Spar along Olifant Street (5 mins drive) and another small supermarket at the Bush Centre, which also has a butchery, small bakery (do try the milk tart!) amongst other conveniences. What a privilege to experience one of South Africa’s most unique and special landscapes — thank you!

Heerlike netjiese verblyf. Ek het 2 aande vir my ouers gebook en het 'n ekstra aand gratis ontvang wat my ouers opreg waardeer het. Hulle het baie diere gesien en het die swembad baie geniet. Die verblyf was baie netjies en my ouers kon rus sonder enige bekommernisse.

Kinders is die skoon netjiese swembad baie geniet. Kruger Cottage is 'n baie oulike netjiese plek. Sal aanbeveel vir enige persoon.

Very relaxing, nature lover's paradise. We had a very nice, relaxed holiday. The unit is very well equipped and clean. We had a lot of visits from various animals. The bushbabies living under the veranda are adorable.
