Unbelievable. We had an amazing stay at Kubu Lodge and will definitely check in again! Hennie and Sabrina spoiled us with the best service. You will never want to leave. What a truly magnificent spoil! I took my team of ladies to Khubu Lodge and we were greeted with bubbles and snacks. The drive to the lodge was filled with elephants, giraffe, buck, warthogs and more. Stepping out onto the deck we were treated to a view of Khubu (the resident hippo) and his family playing in the water. The views are spectacular and the sense of rest and rejuvenation is out of this world. We opted for the full experience with our executive chef, the awesome Hennie. We gorged on duck, lamb shanks (to die for) and the most amazing Malva pudding - I would go back just for that dish! James the owner assisted with also arranging a game drive in the afternoon, Hennie packed us a snack pack with drinks and we were given blankets for the cooler evening. The game ranger had incredible knowledge and our ladies and the other guests on the drive thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We arrived back to the lodge for more treats and spoils with a Snoek starter, that tasted like more! The fillet was out of this world and the Dullstroom Trout - stuffed with couscous - was delish. This is all paired with the most amazing wines. To finish off the evening we were treated to a mouthwatering salted caramel cheesecake. We ended the evening sipping on more vino while we again got a sighting of Khubu and his family. The next morning we were treated to a fully cooked breakfast, as well as continental breakfast and freshly baked muffins along with great cups of coffee. Our biggest regret was only booking 1 night as we didn't want to leave! I highly recommend this amazing destination for a work getaway, couples spoil and with friends and family. Thank you James and Hennie for truly spoiling us. We will be back very very soon.
