Laughing Loerie Cottage is a charming self-catering retreat nestled beneath the Melkhout trees, with a private entrance in the heart of Wilderness. It offers a peaceful and comfortable stay for couples or solo travellers seeking a tranquil escape close to nature.

The cottage can accommodate up to 2 guests in an open-plan layout that includes a cosy sleeping area and a kitchenette. The sleeping area is furnished with a double bed, and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower. For added comfort, an electric blanket and portable heater are provided during winter, while a portable fan is available in the summer months. Wi-Fi is also available for guests' convenience.

The kitchenette is well equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, air fryer, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. A shaded deck leads into the cottage’s private garden area, which is home to several protected Melkhout trees, offering a serene setting for relaxation. A Weber braai is available for outdoor cooking, and secure parking is provided on-site behind a locked gate.
