Amazing pet-friendly venue with the most hospitable and warm host. We spent the weekend at Matlapa Lodge in Magaliesburg, and what a pleasant surprise. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Rika. She is a lovely, down-to-earth, friendly, and hospitable lady. The chalets are rustic and fit beautifully into the bush surroundings. They are very clean and have everything you need for a nice self-catering experience, including a fridge, microwave, stove, braai, and fireplace inside the chalet. This is the perfect place for a pet-friendly break. The dogs can run freely around the premises and explore at their leisure; they are welcomed in the dining room with a delicious cookie or two. If you are looking for a very nice pet-friendly getaway, this is the place. Their breakfast is really nice, and the dining room is very homely. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the hospitality and the tranquil surroundings. NB: The outside shower is a must for couples.
