Various tasty meals are served in the dining area, and the guest house also has a communal lounge to relax in, as well as a verandah to enjoy sundowners an above ground pool, and braai areas to make use of. Small pets are welcome on arrangement, with secure parking available for vehicles behind locked gates. There is a generator that provides electricity during load shedding.

Mautanrho Guest House is also within close proximity to the country club that offers bowls and squash courts. The guest house is also a drive away from a 4x4 trail winding up the mountains just outside Steynsburg. The yearly "Trek to Teebus" cycle and running event is held 17km outside the town and attracts many competitors from around South Africa.
