Great location but never going back. The location was great. Meet and greet was non-existent, communication only via WhatsApp. The most disgusting thing about the room is the kitchen basin emptied straight into the shower. The salty restaurant hostess made up for a lot; wow, what a great asset for them. TV channels just not working, only sport.

Hallo Lynette, Thank you for your review. I'm very concerned to hear about your underwhelming visit - particularly the three specifics you mention. Firstly, we have a housekeeper/representative on site, so I am shocked to hear that you were not met. Issues with the basin drain have not been mentioned to us, so we need to investigate and rectify. The DStv package that we have installed is the hotel package, which includes most sport channels, as well as several movie and other channels - so this will have to be investigated as well. Overpriced for what we got but the view was good. The explanation of there being a lounge area with 2 couches is a lie. There is no lounge and there are no couches. The photos show one thing and the write up says another. When I discussed it with the owner, they said on this platform they can't word it that their 2 units are different, so they just put one explanation. When I said that's not good enough, they said, 'Well, I can't do anything about it now.' Another thing that was well below standard was the size and the quality of the mattress in the main bedroom. I looked at other units that were open in the building and all the mattresses were nearly double the thickness. You wake up daily with back pain. There is a health and safety issue in the bedroom where the plugs are fitted in double adapters with WiFi, TV, DSTV, inverter, and kettle all on the same setup. If you just bump something, the WiFi stops working and the speed was far too slow. I'll gladly share the photo I took of the mess. The toilet paper they supply is the lowest quality 1 ply I've ever used. How much money are you saving by not offering 2 ply to your guests? There is no place to hang up your towels. The dustbin is in the bedroom and it's a wicker basket which can hardly hold anything and it's as old as the hills. Lastly, the shelf area where the cutlery and crockery is kept is so small you have to remove everything to be able to get to the back for something you need. The only thing I enjoyed was the view. I would not recommend this unit!

Verblyf was goed, behalwe vir die beurtkrag wat massief was en die TV programme van belang was nie in die pakket nie. TV programme laat veel te wense oor, haal eerder uit, kon byvoorbeeld nie eens die Sport (Springbokke teen All Blacks), Wimbeldon Final of Tour de France kyk nie. Tydens beurtkrag was die trappe na die kamers glad nie verlig nie, wat nogal gevaarlik kan wees. Andersins was die kamers baie netjies en die ligging uitstekend. Ons was selfs vereer deur 'n dolfynvertoning. Salty ontbyt en restaurant baie goed.

Hi Rene, Firstly, thank you for booking our unit at the Mitford. We have not had it for long and appreciate the guests who give us a chance. Regarding the terrible load-shedding, we went to the expense of purchasing trolley inverters for our 3 units about a month ago in an attempt to give the guests at least Wi-Fi and TV during load-shedding. Unfortunately, these inverters do not have the capacity to start up a kettle, we are working on getting some form of gas into the units for this purpose. I apologize for the lack of sports on the DStv packages. We took this over as is from the Mitford Hotel and are looking to upgrade this package, particularly as the new Restaurant, Salty does not have a TV with sport. We fully realise that this is disappointing as we ourselves are keen sports enthusiasts. We are a work in progress. We hope you will come back and enjoy your time here in the future.
