Description

Nhoma Safari Camp is a small, activity-based tented camp located in the remote northeastern corner of Namibia, just outside the village of Nhoma, home to the Ju|'hoansi San Bushmen. This unique setting offers guests an authentic cultural experience and a deep connection to the surrounding wilderness.

Each safari tent accommodates up to 3 guests and is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, along with an en-suite bathroom. Hot water for bathing is provided by traditional wood-fired boilers. There are no electrical outlets in the tents or the camp, enhancing the authentic off-grid experience. Each tent features a private deck, perfect for soaking in views of the lush vegetation and towering trees.

Meals and drinks are served in the communal dining area, while electrical devices may be charged in thelapa, where Wi-Fi is also available. The camp operates entirely on solar power, including the pumping of fresh, potable borehole water. Nhoma Safari Camp offers a fully inclusive experience, with all meals, drinks, and activities included for guests staying in the safari tents. Activities are centred around the rich traditions and daily life of the San Bushmen, offering a rare and meaningful insight into their culture.

Located within the Nyae Nyae Conservancy at the edge of the Kalahari Desert, the camp offers a peaceful atmosphere, breathtaking natural surroundings, and the chance to witness wildlife, including migratory elephants, at the nearby waterhole. Guests can relax in the bush or venture into the village for an unforgettable cultural experience.
