Peaceful and restful, walking along the beach, shops a short drive away. Very neat and clean house; all you need is there to make your stay a happy one. Close to the beach, a short walk, we had good walks along the flat beach morning and evening. The inside fireplace is great for the cooler nights. The enclosed Braai area is a little sun trap. We hope to go back soon.

Poor / non-existent maintenance. The stay was great, but there's a serious lack of maintenance in this house. For the price, I found this to be inexcusable. 1. Fresh burnt fat on the outside table, obviously from a braai. Not a small amount, a very intrusive and noticeable amount. This congealed later. 2. Different lightbulbs (cool and warm) in the same-switch areas with missing bulbs. Not great lighting. 3. One of the two kitchen table chairs has a broken leg and cannot be used without falling back. This may cause an injury soon. 4. Only two normal round dinner plates. Other mixed plates were large steak platters and bowls. 5. The front door cannot normally close, so it needs to be locked. However, the lock does not turn smoothly into its position but requires a large force to lift and push the door in, and then shake the door until the key is fully latched. 6. Coffee is probably the most important poor maintenance issue of the lot. Plunger handle/filter only! No glass container! However, there was a filter coffee machine but with no filters. Let me guess, we should have known to bring our own filters. No! 7. The bedside light in the main bedroom only works intermittently. 8. The outside area was not swept, and pot plants are dying. We did water them. 9. The sleeper couch is broken. We needed it as a couch, but when you sit on it and lean back, the bed slides out. It does not latch in any way, no matter how we tried to use it. 10. The kitchen tap handle is broken and falls out when used. 11. The pelmet cover in the second bedroom fell off during the night. The one holding mechanism was broken, so we assumed that someone simply balanced it into place. I took pictures of most of the above.
