Ou Werf is a charming, solar powered cottage on Mierkraal Farm, situated at the edge of the Heuningberg Mountain, only 12 km drive from Bredasdorp.

The cottage can accommodate 6 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an open-plan living area and kitchen. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds and a bunk bed. The rooms have a semi-enclosed bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The open-plan living area has an intimate fireplace and a homely kitchen, fully equipped with a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, and a dining area.

Big wooden doors open onto a patio, where one can enjoy the sunset and beauty of the Overberg landscape while having a sun-downer. The outside braai area is perfect for warmer evenings and star gazing. Pets are welcome by pre-arrangement. Ou Werf overlooks a dam and has spectacular views of the mountain and landscape from every angle of the house, including the bathroom. Wi-Fi is available. The property is equipped with a fire hot tub.

For thrills and excitement there are many activities to explore such as walking, jogging, cycling, fishing, canoeing, swimming, bird- and animal- watching, and horse riding which must be pre-booked. Stables are available at an additional minimum tariff for the horse lovers who wish to bring their own horses along. There are also exciting attractions only a stone's throw away such as wine farms, quaint towns of Elim, Struisbaai and Arniston, the most Southern tip of Africa as well as De Hoop and De Mond Nature Reserves.
