Palms on Protea is a stylish and spacious apartment in Struisbaai, located just 650 m from the beach, making it a wonderful base for a relaxing coastal getaway.

The apartment is situated on the first floor and comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. It offers 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, a modern kitchen, and a welcoming living area.

The main bedroom features a queen-size bed and opens onto the balcony. The second bedroom has 2 single beds that can be converted into a queen-size bed on request, and there is a double sleeper couch in the living area. The shared bathroom is fitted with a corner bath, shower, basin, and toilet.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge, tea- and coffee-making station, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and ice machine. A kitchen island with a pop-up power outlet makes it convenient for guests who may wish to work on their laptops.

The lounge is perfect for unwinding with a cosy seating area, a smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, B1G with access to all sports channels, and more. There is also an indoor braai, and guests are kindly requested to bring their own firewood. The apartment runs on solar power as well as Eskom electricity, so loadshedding is not a concern.

The living area leads to a balcony with partial sea views. Outside, under the apartment stairs, there are facilities for cleaning fish as well as parking for a boat. Parking is available for a maximum of 2 vehicles.

Guests can also book trips on the property’s Nova Sport Fisher boat for fishing or leisure rides, weather permitting. Light snacks for the boat can be arranged on request, and pricing is tailored to guests’ needs during booking. For those who prefer shore fishing, guided beach angling trips can be organised, and fishing gear is available for those who did not bring their own.

Struisbaai offers plenty of activities, including swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing, kitesurfing, whale watching between July and August, and scenic hiking trails. Guests can also take a short 4 km drive to L'Agulhas to visit the Quoin Point Lighthouse and the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse Museum, and snap a photo at the Southernmost Tip of Africa, where a 3D scale map marks the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
