Description

Paradyskloof Guest Farm is located between Potchefstroom and Parys, near Venterskroon in the North West Province. Set on a working pecan nut farm, the accommodation has been designed with families in mind and is offered in four beautifully maintained, freestanding self-catering units. Each unit has been carefully prepared to ensure a comfortable and relaxing farm-style experience.

Well-equipped kitchens have been fitted with modern conveniences, including filtered water, spacious Bosch fridge-freezers, gas hobs, electric ovens, microwaves, and toasters. Ample glasses and an ice maker have also been provided. Cosy living areas have been furnished with comfortable seating, reading material, a selection of games, and open wood-burning fireplaces to create a warm and welcoming space. Crisp linen, electric blankets, and quality bedding have been provided in each bedroom to ensure restful nights, especially during the colder seasons.

Private outdoor braai facilities have been made available at each unit, featuring firepits or drums, Weber braais, and clean stainless-steel grids. Free high-speed Wi-Fi has been made accessible across all units and communal areas. The communal swimming pool has been positioned to take full advantage of the surrounding mountain and valley views and is heated by solar panels, making it suitable for use during the autumn and spring seasons. A lapa has been placed beside the pool and offers uninterrupted views of the valley and surrounding Koepel mountain range.

The gardens and orchards have been laid out to support a self-sustaining lifestyle and are home to citrus, pomegranate, and pecan trees, with indigenous flora planted throughout. A variety of farm animals are housed on the property, and guests are welcome to observe the daily routines, including cow milking and chicken feeding. During certain times of the year, lambs may be bottle-fed, and fresh eggs collected. A mini golf course has been provided, along with free access to the Vaal River, which borders the farm. Two shaded picnic spots with braai facilities have been set up along the riverbank. Well-maintained hiking trails of 2 km and 1.7 km respectively are clearly marked and available for guest use.
