The first thing that hit us as we walked in the front door was an overwhelming smell of smoke — apparently, a new wood burner had been tested and had smoked the cottage out. As it had been closed up, the next day, after all windows that could possibly be opened had been opened, it still stank! Thoughtful touches like knee rugs for the chilly evenings and a fully fitted kitchen, plus very comfortable beds, were welcomed. Mould in the main bathroom in the shower area over the bath, plus in the second bathroom around the basin. Note: several windows, including the main bathroom, would not open — unusual in a bathroom! All cupboards smell musty, and there is no hanging space in the second double room. Broken towel rail in the main bathroom.

Ultimate comfort in a spacious character-filled cottage in the heart of Greyton. Wonderful stay in a character-filled cottage with considered touches by our host. The outdoor courtyard was sheltered from the wind, offering us lots of sun-filled relaxation in winter. The property is located on a wonderful street within Greyton, in close proximity to shops and restaurants. Plug covers over plug fittings were such a welcome detail, which allowed me the opportunity to relax rather than running around after a toddler trying to stick fingers in plugs - thanks! Beds and linen were very comfortable, and the fireplace was so efficient!
