Stunning views, cozy hot tub, charming sheep – a heavenly hidden gem! We spent a wonderful weekend at Protea Guest House in Gansbaai, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The location is excellent, offering breathtaking views that truly capture the beauty of the area. The hot tub and outdoor fireplaces were absolute highlights, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere – perfect for relaxing under the stars. This place feels like a hidden gem, nestled in a slice of paradise. To top it off, we were charmed by a group of sheep sleeping nearby, adding a unique and delightful touch to our stay. Highly recommend this haven for anyone seeking a memorable getaway!

Wonderful stay with unforgettable views. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was lovely, but the very first thing you’ll notice is the breathtaking view. My friends and I spent hours just soaking it in. Coming from the busy city, it was truly epic to experience that kind of peace. The people in Franskraal are so welcoming and friendly, which made the stay even more special. We made quite a bit of noise, yet no one complained, which I really appreciated. It felt like true freedom. The hot tub was another highlight (just a heads-up: bring water with you since the borehole water isn't drinkable). They also provide towels and soap, which was a great touch. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’d definitely recommend it.
