Description

Protea Guest House is situated in the heart of Knysna in the suburb of Paradise. The guest house offers 3 wooden self-catering cottages (no breakfast is provided) set in a large sub-tropical garden with lovely views of the Knysna Lagoon.

Loerie cottage features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lounge, and large sundeck with braai facilities. Loerie can accommodate 4 people. This unit is suitable for a family with children. Glasogie and Suikerbekkie cottages both sleep 2 people with their own private sundecks and braai facilities. These 2 units are not suitable for children. Facilities in the cottages include a fridge, fan, heater, radio, kettle, toaster, microwave and hairdryer. Loerie has DStv and Glasogie and Suikerbekkie both have OpenView TV (approximately 30 TV channels which includes the ETV movie channels and BBC Worldnews). There is free off-street parking as well as fast (150 Mbps) free unlimited fibre WiFi. Please note that there is one off-street parking space per unit and guests arriving with more than one car are requested to inform us in advance before check-in. Parking in the garage is also available at a fee, subject to availability.

Protea Guest House is ideally located away from the busy main road in a very quiet area with little traffic as it is situated in a cul-de-sac. Guests can enjoy the sub-tropical garden with abundant bird life. We often get visits from the local Vervet monkeys and the Knysna Loerie (Turaco).
